We went skating on the Assiniboine River trail today. Charlotte is just learning to skate. After an exhausting 15 minutes of gliding and falling and gliding and falling Charlotte wanted to take a load off and have a rest in a snow bank.
Andrew: "Just watch out for yellow snow!"
Charlotte: "Why? Did someone sprinkle lemon juice on the snow?"
Oh, if that were only true.

I take my turn walking the kids on the street to school twice a week and I sound like a maniac the whole time telling them to stay away from the yellow snow.
At least three of them love to eat snow, so I sound extra crazy sometimes telling them to stop eating all the snow - blechh.
These poor kids have had to listen to me all winter and they know it's not lemon juice.
Charlotte sounds like an innocent for someone who has a dog.
