This gem came out of left field after dinner today.
"Mom. I don't know if we're upside down on the earth, but we're definitely spinning."

Quote of the day - November 17, 2010
It has been quite some time since posting my favourite Charlotte-isms. These past nine months have been very busy and they are about to get much busier with the arrival of a new baby November 25th!
Last week we were doing some Christmas shopping and were looking at a selection of handmade soaps from Rocky Mountain Soap Company. Charlotte pointed to a bar of soap and loudly exclaimed "Look, soap for dry, cracked feet. Just like your feet Mommy!"
I'm sure Charlotte will be chalk full of interesting observations about her new brother or sister, so please stay tuned.

Andrew and Charlotte have started playing a car trip game called Plurals. Andrew says a word and Charlotte makes it plural. Sounds a lot like English class to me, but Charlotte thinks it's the best game ever.
Tonight, we had a tasty dinner of lasagna and caesar salad. In a weak attempt to get Charlotte to try the salad I said she could have some jelly beans if she tasted it. She did not take the bait and refused to try the salad.
As we were finishing up Charlotte said she would like something else to eat.
Charlotte: "It starts with the J sound."
Me: "You want a jelly bean?"
Charlotte: "Nope. I want jelly beanssssss."
She got her jelly beansssssssss, but not without tasting the salad first.

We went skating on the Assiniboine River trail today. Charlotte is just learning to skate. After an exhausting 15 minutes of gliding and falling and gliding and falling Charlotte wanted to take a load off and have a rest in a snow bank.
Andrew: "Just watch out for yellow snow!"
Charlotte: "Why? Did someone sprinkle lemon juice on the snow?"
Oh, if that were only true.

Andrew and I were watching Modern Family after Charlotte went to bed. It is laugh out loud funny. Apparently a little too laugh out loud funny for Charlotte's liking.
Charlotte's bedroom door opens, stomp, stomp, stomp to the top of the stairs.
"Hey! What's so funny? Keep it down, I'm trying to get some sleep up here!"
Unfortunately Cougar Town followed Modern Family and this scene was repeated 30 minutes later.

Quote of the day - January 10, 2010
Charlotte was talking about colors and rainbows the other day. I asked her what colors were in the rainbow. She responded, using a very teenager with attitude tone "all the colors of the rainbow mom!"
Duh. What a silly question.
