Quote of the day - November 1, 2009

We had a great Halloween day filled with pumpkin carving, scarecrow construction, and candy consumption.

Today is Andrew's birthday. Quote of the day is courtesy of the Birthday Boy!

"Yeah, now we can start decorating for Christmas!"

Quote of the day - September 25, 2009

"Charlotte. What would you like for breakfast?"

"A piece of toast, untoasted, with nothing on it."

"Huh?"

Answer to breakfast riddle: piece of bread.

Four year olds are such complicated little creatures.

Quote of the day - May 15, 2009

Tonight, Charlotte and I were sharing an apple for our bedtime snack. One bite for Charlotte, one bite for mommy etc.

Me: "Wow. I just took a pretty big bite."
Charlotte: "That's because you have a big mouth Mommy."

Smart kid.

Quote of the day - March 12, 2009

Charlotte does not walk anywhere. To get from point A to point B she will run, hop, skip, crawl or slide. Her practice of non-walking makes me very nervous when she is on the stairs. So, everytime I see her making her way to the staircase I feel compelled to tell her to be careful. Today was no different.

Me: "Charlotte. Please be careful on the stairs."

Charlotte: "Yes, Mommy. They are very stairy"

Quote of the day - January 9, 2009

There is no preface to this story. Only, that my 3 and 1/2 year old is all grown up and that makes me so sad.

Charlotte: "Mommy. I don't want you! I don't need you!

Quote of the day - January 8, 2009

Charlotte now goes to the potty alone. She has no problem getting to the potty or doing her business on the potty. It is the post potty clean up that needs improvement. So, occasionally we will check in on her to make sure she is following the post potty clean up routine. Today, Andrew poked his head into the potty to check on Charlotte and witnessed her post potty routine.......

Charlotte: "Look Daddy. I have a TOILET PAPER TAIL!"

Unfortunately, I did not witness this event. But, Charlotte later recounted her tale of the toilet paper tail in vivid detail. Enough said.
