Charlotte has taken to shaking her finger at me, while saying "No Mommy. No!" This of course does not please me. However, I think Andrew secretly delights in hearing this. It reinforces his current status as #1 parent.
I was putting Charlotte to bed last night, after a particularly trying evening when she reached out to give me a hug and said "Mommy, I love y.......I need some socks". I just dropped to #3 in the ranking behind daddy and socks!

Song of the day - August 26, 2007
Let me set the scene.....It is a bright sunny afternoon at the playground. Charlotte is walking on the "balance beam". That is, she is walking on the wood beams that surround the play structure. She stops, and starts to sing......
"Baa Baa green sheep, have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, three bales full. One for mommy, one for Charlotte, and one for the pirate who lives down the lane! Baa baa green sheep, have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir three bales full. Yeah for Charlotte. Baa baa yellow sheep..."
I have no idea where this version came from. Maybe they teach politically correct lyrics at school.

Quote of the day - July 31, 2007
It has been hot as sin in Winnipeg the last few weeks. Charlotte has spent many afternoons cooling off in her kiddie pool. And so has her mommy. Today was no different. We got home after school, Charlotte stripped down to her birthday suit and hopped into the pool. I did not feel like taking a dip, so I sat myself down on the deck to watch Charlotte swim. After a couple of minutes of swimming solo, Charlotte realized I was not in the pool and screeched..."MOMMY TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF!"
I would like to point out, that when mommy does go for a swim she wears her bathing suit.
