Quote of the day - January 7, 2008

Our bath time ritual always ends with this question.

Me: "Charlotte, would you like me to pull the plug for you."
Charlotte: "Yes mommy. Pull the plug."

And every time I ask that question I think to myself, one day kid you are going to be asking me the same question. Let's just hope it is not for a very long time.

Quote of the day - December 26, 2007

We had a tasty breakfast this morning, which included warm croissants smothered in butter. Delicious. I'm not too sure how the following conversation began.....

Charlotte: "Mommy, say bassant."
Mommy: "Croissant."
Charlotte: "No mommy. Not bassant. BASSANT."
Mommy: "Bassant."

Every conversation with your toddler is a potentially valuable learning experience. However, today Mommy just wanted another bassant with butter.

Quote of the day - December 23, 2007 #2

Charlotte and I went to Mr. Lee's house for a visit this morning. I was seated comfortably on the sofa, drinking my coffee. Charlotte was keeping herself busy running in circles and hiding behind pillows. Towards the end of our visit, Charlotte came over to the sofa, lifted the back of my shirt up a little and tugged on my belt. I asked her what she was doing.

Charlotte: "I'm checking for poop!"

We put on our coats and left shortly thereafter.

Charlotte: "I have the hiccups."
Nana: "Where did you get those?"
Charlotte: "In my mouth!" (Said with mouth wide open and finger pointing down her throat)

Quote of the day - December 16, 2007

Charlotte has eyes like a hawk. She can spot the moon from almost any location she may be. Whether it is in the car, at Gramma's house, or our backyard Charlotte is able to track the moon.

While driving home, down Pembina the other night Charlotte shouted "I see the moon. He's going to go get donuts."

I forgot to mention that Charlotte's brand recognition is ridiculous for a two year old. We were driving by Tim Horton's on Pembina when she spyed the moon.

Quote of the day - December 15, 2007

After a busy day of running errands, I looked into the back seat to check on Charlotte. She was being unusually quiet.

Me: "Charlotte, are you tired?"

Charlotte: "I ran outta steam."

Charlotte has been using this comment for quite some time. However, I'm pretty sure it's not an original thought. I think we may have "planted" this saying ourselves. But it's still entertaining, nevertheless.

Quote of the Day - December 2, 2007

Charlotte is now potty trained. Yesterday, while sitting on the toilet she shouted this little gem. (Note emPHAsis on the wrong sylLAble)

"Poop goes in the potTY! Not on the floOR!"
